Choosing a product
Do IP123 proxy IPs rotate automatically?
IP123 offers static proxies with an assigned address during the rental period. Do not append country, session, or rotation parameters used by rotating products. For a different exit or location, check available product options.
Which proxy product should I choose?
Start with the target service, location, and workload, then compare network origin, address protocol, quantity, rental period, and bandwidth. Residential and datacenter describe network origin, IPv6 the address protocol, and AI the intended use. See the buying guide.
Where can I find current prices and specifications?
Use the current website and dashboard purchase page. Check the product, location, quantity, rental period, bandwidth, and total before paying. Documentation covers setup rather than live inventory or pricing.
Can an IPv6 proxy access every website?
Connect using the IPv4-formatted host and port shown in your dashboard; the assigned exit address is IPv6. Whether a target works depends on its support for an IPv6 exit and its access rules. See the IPv6 guide.
Setup and clients
Where do I get my connection details?
Open the proxy list for the product in your dashboard. After deployment completes, select the protocol and copy the host, port, username, and password. See getting started.
Should I use my login password or proxy password?
Use the proxy username and password from the connection details. Do not use your login email/password or include example placeholders, extra spaces, or rotating-proxy parameters.
How do I choose HTTP or SOCKS5?
Match the connection protocol and port supplied by the product. An HTTPS target does not require an HTTPS proxy server: an HTTP proxy with CONNECT support can carry HTTPS requests. Recheck the port when switching protocols.
How do I use a proxy in a profile browser?
Choose a custom connection in the intended browser profile, enter protocol, host, port, and credentials, then test, save, and open that profile. A saved connection must also be assigned to the profile you use. See browser integration.
Can I use a proxy on phones or Android emulators?
You can configure a compatible client with the required protocol and username/password authentication. Some emulators do not support VPN forwarding. Host browser settings do not automatically apply inside an emulator. See platform integration.
What if an order stays in deployment?
Deployment means resources have not finished being assigned. Refresh the order and product list and follow the displayed status; do not use incomplete connection details. If it remains pending, send support the order number, purchase time, and status screenshot.
Do I need to fetch a static proxy address through an API before use?
No. After deployment, copy the fixed host, protocol-specific port, username, and password from your IP123 dashboard into your client or program. You do not need to fetch a new address before each request. Use the authentication method shown for your product.
Network and usage issues
How do I check the proxy in the current app?
Open https://ip123.in in the same configured app or browser profile, check the exit, then test the actual target. A VPN icon, client status, or another browser’s result does not replace this check.
How do I troubleshoot authentication errors or timeouts?
Check deployment and rental status, protocol and port, host and credentials, app rules, and local network in that order. HTTP 407 usually relates to authentication; connection refused calls for checking the endpoint and port; a timeout calls for checking reachability. Use the same details with the curl example to separate client and network issues.
Why does Shadowrocket or my browser still show my local IP?
Check the selected node, profile assignment, and routing rules so the lookup request does not go direct. In Shadowrocket, test with Proxy routing after backing up existing settings. In Proxifier, check whether the process matches a rule. See iOS setup or browser setup.
Why do sites disagree on the IP location?
First check that both sites observed the same exit address, then compare database freshness and classification. Send support the purchased location, exit address, test time, and screenshots. Do not append location parameters to a static username to change a database label.
Why can a target fail or disconnect after a successful proxy test?
A test only proves access to that test destination at that time. Check target status codes, account permissions, and location/network restrictions. For intermittent failures, record timing, concurrency, and timeouts. A fixed exit does not guarantee target acceptance.
Does a failed ping mean the proxy is unavailable?
Not by itself. Ping uses ICMP and normally bypasses HTTP and SOCKS5 proxies; the target may also block ICMP. Test an HTTP request with the same proxy endpoint and credentials instead of treating ping as an application connection test.
Developer integration
Why does curl work while my program fails?
Check whether the actual process reads the configuration, the library supports proxy authentication, both HTTP and HTTPS requests are configured, and environment variables or bypass lists override it. Containers, backend processes, and browsers have different scopes. See the developer guides.
How do I handle special characters in credentials?
Use raw values in separate credential fields. When building a URL, percent-encode the username and password separately, not the whole URL, and avoid double encoding. Prefer library authentication fields or encoding helpers.
Orders and accounts
Can I keep using the same IP after expiry?
For continuous use, review renewal options, term, and price before expiry and confirm the new end date after payment. Check auto-renewal status and payment conditions too. Retention after expiry depends on current product policy.
What if a payment or balance update is missing?
Refresh the dashboard and compare top-up records, the order, and the payment channel’s transaction status. If payment was taken but the status is wrong, send support the order number, amount, time, and a redacted receipt. Do not pay again just to refresh a status.
What if I cannot sign in or my account is restricted?
Check the login email and page message first; use the site’s recovery flow for password issues. Contact official support for account restrictions. Login and proxy passwords serve different purposes; do not interchange them or send full passwords to support.
What should I send to support?
Include product type, order number, event time, protocol, client/version, target address, error code, and steps tried. Redact passwords, tokens, API keys, and sensitive payment data. Comparing the same endpoint in the client and curl helps isolate the issue.
